UMBC’s Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering (CSEE) offers academic programs leading to ABET-accredited undergraduate degrees in Computer Engineering and Computer Science; and to doctorate and master’s degrees in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering. The CSEE Department also hosts the Master’s in Professional Studies (M.P.S.) degree and graduate certificate programs in Cybersecurity and Data Science. CSEE research is focused in signal processing and communications, VLSI testing, security and information assurance, intelligent agents and the semantic web, wireless networking, photonics, and other areas.
